Welcome to the Thunder Hill Book Club Web Site

The Thunder Hill Book Club was formed in 1996 and has met on the third Wednesday of every month since our creation. We were originally formed by a core group of women who lived in the same neighborhood. Over the years our group has grown in number and spread beyond our neighborhood.

This reading group is very active, meeting regularly at members' homes and participating in many other book related and community events. We have had authors attend our meetings, attended author lectures, participated in teleconferences with authors, and taken field trips to local book stores for tours and recommendations. Our group has participated in local projects such as the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, and sponsored used book sales as additional fund raisers. We have an annual children's meeting to discuss the Newberry winners for the current year with our children. Our group also has an annual spouse night when we select a book that our husbands would enjoy and they join us for a Saturday night "desserts and discussion."

Our web site is designed to be a resource for our group. We hope you find it both interesting and helpful.
